Reverse Electrodialysis (R.E.D.)
Our WEGen R.E.D. Technology harnesses Salinity Gradient Power (SGP) to generate electricity from the difference in salt concentration between fluids, such as where a river meets the sea. This electricity is then used to power the desalination process, reducing overall energy consumption.
30% Energy Savings: Reduces average energy use from 3.5 kWh/m³ to 2.45 kWh/m³.
Retrofit Compatibility: Seamlessly integrates with existing Reverse Osmosis (R/O) systems for easy adoption.
Net Zero Carbon Emission: Offsets 3.1 kg of CO2 per tonne of brine water processed.
Brine Mining & CCUS
The WEGen Green Technology transforms toxic brine waste into a resource. By combining it with captured CO2, we create valuable magnesium compounds through a mineralization process.
Magnesium Extraction: Recovers up to 95% of the magnesium from brine.
High Purity: Achieves 95% purity for the produced magnesium carbonate.
CO2 Capture: Captures 3-7 kg of CO2 for every ton of brine processed.
